The UNT-G-SFP is a complete GPON ONU inside a standard SFP transceiver module — a GPON ONU stick (SFP ONT). It converts the host device's SFP interface into a GPON interface — no separate ONT box — and is compatible with devices equipped with an SFP interface, with full OMCI remote management from the OLT.
The UNT-G-SFP integrates complete GPON ONU functionality into the SFP package — designed for GPON CPE integration and embedded ONU applications.
The full ONU — GPON MAC, optics and OMCI stack — lives inside a standard SFP transceiver. The host device gains a standards-based GPON network side through its existing SFP port, with no separate ONT enclosure, power supply or mounting.
Reusing the host's SFP port saves CPE space and power and shortens the bill of materials. The module is hot-swappable, so replacement in the field is a seconds-long swap — and the same host design serves fiber and copper variants by changing one module.
As an SFU (single-family-unit) bridging ONU it sits behind the host router and delivers Ethernet services cleanly: 802.1D and 802.1ad bridging, configurable VLAN awareness with transparent, tagging, translation and trunk modes, 802.1p class of service with priority queues, plus IGMPv2/v3 and PPPoE forwarding.
Built for equipment makers and OEM/ODM programs: a standard SFP MSA footprint, a fully documented 20-pin host interface (including Dying Gasp detection), DC 3.3 V power, and OMCI provisioning from the OLT — integrate it once, ship it in your own gateway, router or embedded host.
One end speaks PON to the network; the other speaks Gigabit Ethernet to the host. Everything between is the ONT.
One module, three ways to ship GPON: inside your own CPE, behind an operator's router, or in any host that already has an SFP port.
Device makers build GPON straight into gateways and routers — the stick is the ONU, so the host board needs only a standard SFP cage and 3.3 V power.
Operators deploy the stick as an SFU bridge in the subscriber's router: services are separated by VLAN, the router keeps routing, the OLT keeps full OMCI control of the ONU.
Switches, media converters and embedded systems with a free SFP port gain a GPON uplink without a hardware redesign — the module is compatible with devices equipped with an SFP interface.

The UNT-G-SFP is standards-based — ITU-T G.984.x with OMCI management — and delivers interoperability with major OLT brands. On the host side, it fits any device with a standard SFP port.
An ONU stick, not another box. The UNT-G-SFP turns the host's own SFP port into the GPON interface — no separate ONT enclosure, no extra power supply (it runs on the host's 3.3 V rail). To the host it presents a standard 1×GE Ethernet uplink in SFU bridging mode; to the OLT it speaks standard OMCI, so it provisions and manages like any operator ONT, in the footprint of a transceiver.
Everything engineers and procurement need — one click away.
Both sticks share the same idea — the ONT lives in the host's SFP cage. The choice is the PON generation.

The UNT-G-SFP terminates on UGrid OLTs and pairs with the rest of the access portfolio.

A GPON ONU stick — also called an SFP ONT — is a complete GPON ONU (optical network unit) built into a standard SFP transceiver module. Plugged into a router, switch or CPE with an SFP cage, it turns the host's SFP port into the GPON interface, so no separate ONT box is needed. The UNT-G-SFP is UGrid's GPON ONU stick.
Any device with a standard SFP port: routers and gateways, L2/L3 switches and CPE. The host powers the stick at DC 3.3 V, and it draws ≤4 W.
It is verified with UGrid's U5 GPON OLT and the U10 combo OLT in GPON mode, and — as a standards-based ITU-T G.984.x ONU with OMCI management — interworks by design with major-brand GPON OLTs.
From the OLT over OMCI, like any operator ONU. It runs in SFU bridging mode with full VLAN handling, so the host device keeps its own routing and services.
